I used to think if I wasn’t on social media every day, I’d miss something important—some big update, a message, a trend, a post that “mattered.” The irony? The more I stayed plugged in, the more I felt like I was missing out on real life.

A few weeks ago, I started taking Sundays off of social media. Not just a quick break—but actually staying off the apps for the day, turning off notifications, and letting it go. And you know what? It’s been… refreshing. Like a deep exhale I didn’t know I needed.

I’ve also kept my notifications off during the week, and without that constant buzz pulling at my attention, I’ve noticed something wild—I’m not mindlessly scrolling as much. I’ve been more focused. More present. More productive. I’m getting things done faster, and I’m even remembering little things I used to overlook—like how good it feels to sit in silence for a few minutes or how much peace there is in a morning without a screen.

But maybe the biggest shift has been in my peace of mind.

I don’t feel the same pull to constantly check in. I used to think stepping away meant I’d fall behind or be out of the loop. But the truth? What I found instead was margin—space to breathe, space to think, space to live.

Social media can be a powerful tool. It connects, inspires, and informs. But it can also consume and distract if we let it. I’m learning that stepping away isn’t about disconnecting from others—it’s about reconnecting with myself, my priorities, my purpose.

So if you’ve been feeling the tug to take a break, here’s your gentle nudge: it’s okay to log off. The world will keep turning. And you just might find a little more peace waiting for you on the other side.

HOLD POLICY

Month-to-Month Membership Agreements and Annual Membership Agreements: You may place your Membership on hold two (2) times per calendar year up to three (3) consecutive months each time. Advanced notice of at least seven (7) business days is required. The hold must be 30 days in duration at a minimum and 30 days must elapse between holds. Upon expiration of the term of the hold, your account will automatically become active and payments will resume. Should you choose to return prior to the end of their hold period, the hold will be released and payments will resume.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All membership agreements require 30-days written notice to cancel your membership. This form will serve as your 30-days written cancellation notice. Note that if you have a scheduled renewal payment within 30-days of your invoice billing date, the payment will be processed as scheduled. Your membership will be canceled at the end of your final paid month. All payments are non-refundable. All grandfathered membership rates will also be forfeited and returning members will be subject to current rates.
