Happy July 1st, y’all!

We are officially 6 months into 2024, which blows my mind! I’m not even sure where the first half of this year has gone but here we are.

Now is the perfect time to reflect on the goals you set at the beginning of the year. Are you still working on them? Have you achieved any of them? Have you changed any of them? Do you remember any of them??

I’ll be honest. I remember my gym ones, I remember my certification one. But I don’t remember any of my personal goals. I’m not sure I wrote them down anywhere or focused solely on them.

To be even more honest, I’m not sure I made any.

We began 2024 with heavy hearts. And we were still trying to find our new “normal.” And to keep our heads above water, so to speak.

And while we’ve found a new balance, I think we’re still trying to figure it all out. I’m pretty sure our schedule changes weekly. There’s always something that pops up or changes or throws everything off.

We’ve learned to just go with the flow, because really, what else can we do?

But let’s get back to those goals. Now is the perfect time to reassess and recommit and maybe reset where you are, where you want to go, and where you want to end the year. I know I need to!

I want to be more intentional with my time. I find that I spend a lot of my free time mindlessly scrolling through social media or watching reel after reel after reel. And sometimes it’s a nice distraction after a long day. But I know I tend to let too much time go by on it.

I also want to be more intentional with my time with the boys and with my family. I don’t want to be known as the mom on her phone. I don’t want to miss the moments with them as I know they fly by all too fast.

And I want to be more intentional with my time with God. I’ve been leaning more on myself and my own wants and not on God and what He wants for me in my life.

I suppose, now that we’re mid-year, I’ve come up with my word of the year. Intentional. Not just mindlessly floating around, hoping and wishing for things to happen.

How about you? What are you working towards? I’d love to know if you’ve met your goals. If you’ve revamped them. If you’re fervently working towards them.

Let’s set our intentions together and make the second half of 2024 the best we can make it!

Have a beautiful week. Enjoy the holiday and be safe!
