Choose your hard.
Waking up early and going to the gym is hard. But so is obesity and illness from not moving your body and eating healthy.
Running your own business is hard. But so is going to a dead end job day after day.
Working on yourself and changing your habits and behaviors is hard. But so is alienating yourself from others because you don’t own your choices.
Putting your phone down and spending time with your friends and family face to face is hard. But so is being alone and bitter when nobody wants to be around you.
Changing your spending habits to pay off your debt is hard. But so is living paycheck to paycheck or having maxed out credit cards.
Choose your hard.
You get to choose your hard, every day, day after day. And some days the choices are harder than others. But ultimately, it’s YOUR choice.
The things you have in your life, what you surround yourself with, what you are going through… 99.9% of it is because of your choices. It’s because of things you’ve done or haven’t done.
The reality of it is most people blame other things. Outside circumstances. Other people. Their parents. Their job. Their spouse.
And yes, some of the times it is from something outside of your control. But the majority of the time, whatever is happening is based on your choice.
And if you aren’t happy with where you are, the cool thing is you can change it! You can choose your hard!
The world is full of hard things. Staying fit, eating healthy, getting to the gym 4-5 times a week, paying off debt instead of going on vacation, starting your own business… these are all hard things. They require discipline. And hard work.
