Sometimes I feel like I have it all together and things are flowing seamlessly from one thing to the next. And other times I feel like I’m frantically paddling water, trying to keep my head afloat. 

Lately, I’ve felt like I’m in the frantic phase of life. I literally have to look at our schedule for the next day the night before so I know what’s going on, where we have to be, and when. And even then, I don’t always have it together. 

In the blink of an eye, our lives were flipped upside down and thrown into a turmoil. It felt like everything we’d been working towards and on came to a screeching halt. And I suppose they did. 

Our priorities shifted. They had to. And it seems as if I haven’t been able to get back to where I was before. I haven’t been able to get myself back on track and focused on what I was working on before. Honestly, I’m not even sure I know how to do that at this point. 

But I also know that life continues on and I have to work on the things in my life that aren’t going anywhere. The things that I need for my professional and personal development. The things that help me continue to run our business. 

I have to remember why I started and not just give up. Not just say, “I don’t have time for that.” Because, like everything, what I don’t make time for means it’s not a priority. 

So that may mean less videos, less doing “nothing” time, and more specific and pointed scheduling of my time. 

Honestly, I’ve allowed myself to get sucked back into watching shows and movies on my iPhone over doing the other, more important things. And then saying I don’t have time. 

But that 90 minutes of a movie? I could be studying. I could be doing loads of other things. 

So now it’s time to put my money where my mouth is. Get refocused. Remember why I started and why I signed up in the first place and get my butt back in gear. 

Nothing worth having or doing is easy. That may mean the path to get there isn’t easy either. But it’s time to get back on it. 

And I’m making this public declaration so you guys can help hold me accountable. 

Here we go. Time to be more intentional with my time.
