You may not be able to control everything that happens to you, but you are 100% responsible for how you react to what happens to you.
Life throws things at us — unexpected losses, disappointments, broken plans, hard seasons, heavy emotions. Some of it we never saw coming. Some of it, we didn’t ask for. But here’s the truth: while we may not get to choose the circumstance or change the situation, we always get to choose our response. And that choice? It’s where your power is. And it’s where God meets you.
You’re not powerless.
You’re not stuck.
And you’re certainly not alone.
God never promised an easy path — but He did promise to walk with us through the fire. He promised His strength in our weakness, His peace in our storms, and His purpose in our pain. That means even in the hard seasons, you still have a choice. You can react in fear, or respond in faith.
Faith isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about trusting God enough to keep going.
This mindset applies in the gym too. You don’t always get to choose the workout, but you do choose your effort, your attitude, your grit. You choose whether to quit halfway through or dig deep and finish strong. Same with life.
React with bitterness, and you stay stuck.
React with responsibility — and you start to heal.
React with faith — and you grow stronger from the inside out.
Taking responsibility doesn’t mean the pain didn’t matter. And it doesn’t mean you caused it.
It means you’re not letting it define your future.
So whether you’re carrying grief, frustration, exhaustion, or uncertainty — know this: you are not powerless. You are equipped. And you’ve got a God who strengthens you for every step.
Feel what you need to feel.
Pray through it.
Then take one small step forward — in grace, in grit, and in faith.
Because your reaction is your power.
And your response? That’s your witness.
Have a great week!
