Words are more powerful than you realize.
Proverbs 18:21 says:
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”
Just like in the gym, what you put in is what you get out. If you fuel your body with junk, your performance suffers. If you feed it well, you see strength, energy, and progress. Our words work the same way.
Every time you speak, you’re feeding yourself and others — either with life or with death. If you’re constantly speaking doubt, negativity, or defeat, don’t be surprised when that’s the “fruit” you end up eating. But when you speak truth, encouragement, and hope, you’re sowing seeds that grow into strength and perseverance, both spiritually and physically.
Think about your workouts: a coach’s words can push you past what you thought possible, or they can make you quit before you even try. The same is true in life. God reminds us that our tongues have power — power to build up, to strengthen, to speak life.
So today, check your words like you’d check your form. Are they aligned with truth? Are they helping you (and others) grow stronger? Or are they quietly tearing down the progress you’ve been working for?
Because just like in training, consistency matters. Speak life daily, and you’ll see the fruit — in your faith, in your relationships, and yes, even in your fitness journey.
We’ll see you in the gym!
Have a great week!
